Appreciation for all the efforts!

What a beautiful journey it is!

We have come together to conceptualize, vision and build a great dream.

Having decided in May to take a hiatus for the summer, we were encouraged by our community and joined by a representative of Ypsi Swap. We gathered again last night to the tunes of John Heath, who appeared live and in charge.

As we hold gratitude for all the time and contributions of the friends supporting us, we have also decided to close our doors for the time being.

Stay tuned for Fall updates!

May Day – Call for Support

Hello Fans of the Free Faire!

We are on for Tuesday May 1, from 6-9pm at the Ypsilanti Senior Center, 1015 N Congress.

We are looking for anyone willing to show their skill, offer a service, or bring some gently used goodies to share.

Up to now, we have had great success amongst a handful of dedicated friends. We are ready to bring our ideas to a larger community.

Follow and share this site! Let us know how you’d like to help!

Thank you to hOur exchange Ypsilanti & Ann Arbor-Ypsi Reskilling for your collaboration and encouragement.

Together we are creating a world beyond capitalism!

Our last gathering brought a handful of us together to share clothes, books and ideas about what it means to share freely.  Although the weather will keep us indoors, this photo from Carrboro, NC is a welcome goal for us this summer!

We welcome your questions and interest and hope you can join us on Tuesday, March 6 from 6:30-8:30pm at the Ypsilanti Senior Center, 1015 N Congress.

See you there!

We are officially launching the Everything is Free Faire, at our next gathering,

Tuesday February 6, 6:30-9 PM

After six months of meeting at the Ypsilanti Senior Center, 1015 N Congress St., we will open our doors and hearts to the magic that is The Faire.

What is The Faire & Why do you want to participate?

Explore this site, ask us questions & most importantly, come see for yourself!

Bring your skills, bring your fun stuff! We are asking that you bring no more than one box of your best goodies, and that you are responsible for taking away anything left at the end of the gathering.

Planning Council to resume- Tuesday, December 5

Hello Once Again Friends!

Our last scheduled meet up fell on election day & the Senior Center is a polling place.  Apologies for being so quiet this month!

This months meeting is cancelled.

We will resume our council on the first Tuesday of December.  Keep your eyes open for info here, to prepare us for the gathering.

Agreeing in October to slow the process and debut the Faire in Spring, we would like to build our momentum and resources over the winter.  We’ve explored a lot of ground with our first two sessions & are excited to move forward and dig deeper through the cold and lonely months.

Collect your thoughts & visions about community building and radical exchange.  We look forward to meeting again, next month!

Cob Workshop & Potluck October 19!

We are excited to be collaborating with  Ann Arbor- Ypsi Reskilling at their upcoming event!

Cob is a natural plaster that can be used for building structures and for interior design.  Jacob Gnath will instruct us in the techniques he learned at The Strawbale Studio, and we will begin the process of earthing the interior of this community space.

1979 McKinley, Ypsilanti – 5:30-8:30pm

First hour will be a potluck, and then we will go into two hours of instruction.  Bring an instrument for playing music at the bonfire afterwards.

We look forward to seeing you at our first Reskilling Event!
